Sheridan House Originally constructed in 1895 as a single-family residence, years ago Sheridan House was converted to four one-bedroom apartments, two on the main floor, two on the second floor. When I purchased the house in 1999, I decided using the two large view bedrooms on the third floor as storage was a waste. Lacking kitchen or bath facilities on the third floor, I modified a second floor unit to accommodate use by tenants with bedrooms on the third floor, a shared housing arrangement. A forced air gas furnace heats the entire house. Rent includes all utilities, expanded basic cable too. Coin-operated laundry facilities are available across the street at Murray House. Two garages and spacious storage areas in the basement are rented out separately. Apartment #1, main floor, 715 s.f., has restored hardwood floors, a decorative fireplace, dining room, bay windows, built-ins, and a tiled bath. Apartment #2, main floor, 705 s.f., features restored hardwood floors, large living and bedrooms, bay windows. Apartment #4, second floor, 425 s.f., has a large living room, bay window, refinished wood floor. The bedroom is small. Shower, no tub. Apartment #3A includes a large, 247 s.f. bedroom on the third floor, with a 4' x 6' walk in closet. Great views to the north and east. Apartment #3B includes the bedroom on the second floor next to the rest of Apartment #3. It has two closets, about 180 s.f. Apartment #3C includes a third floor bedroom with a view toward historic Murray House. It has about 196 s.f. of finished space, a 4' x 6' walk in closet and additional storage under the eaves. Common area in Apartment #3 includes a large living room with bay window, a bright kitchen with a large refrigerator, microwave as well as electric range and plenty of cupboard space. The bath has a shower over the tub. The three tenants are asked to clean up after themselves in the kitchen and bath. All tenants are asked to keep noise to a level that is not intrusive to neighbors. No smoking is permitted in the building.
